About Me

I started my career in hairdressing over 30 years ago. 

In 1991 I joined the British Hairdressing Team,
winning loads of local competitions, including second and third place at the
European Championships in Zurich and became British Junior Champion at Wembley.

I then joined TONI&GUY and after a few years working in Winchester,
I moved to their Singapore branch and got involved with training and education
at their academy, teaching cutting techniques in Guangzhou China and
international shows in Hong Kong. 

After three years in Asia, I moved back to the UK and opened up
Charlie Plant hairdressing in 2003.

I’ve had an exciting diverse career so far, it’s fantastic
having my own Salon and exploring new ventures such as training students at
Southampton city college.
